Recycling

Curbside collection of household recyclables is managed by the Frederick County Government. Pick-up occurs every other Wednesday as listed on the Myersville Community Calendar. Due to county observance of New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, pick-ups that occur on those weeks are shifted to Thursday.

Recycling is mandatory for all Town residents per Town Code. On days when recyclable items are collected, the Town asks that receptacles are placed at the curb by 6:00 AM, at least four feet from obstructions such as mailboxes and cars, and with the arrows on the lid facing the street.

Some items that cannot be accepted for curbside pickup may still be recycled at the Department of Solid Waste Management facilities at 9031 Reichs Ford Road.
